A total of 25 student-athletes from the University of Hawai’i football team have been named to the Mountain West academic all-conference team. Among those recognized are Karsyn Pupunu and Landon Sims, who received the honor for a fourth year, and Jamih Otis, who was honored for a third year.
Second-year honorees include Kansei Matsuzawa, Justin Sinclair, Josh Sagapolutele, Elijah Palmer, and James Milovale. The list of first-year recipients features Koa Eldredge, Micah Kaonohi-Kaihenui, Aiden McComber, Judah Kaio, Dermaricus Davis, Billy Gowers, Jordan Lynch, Jackson Harris, Max Ware, Ha’aheo Dela Cruz, Iosefa Letuli, Makana Meyer, Caleb Freeman, Zoram Petelo, David Cordero, Elijah Gipson, and Alika Cavaco-Amoy.
To qualify for the academic all-conference team in the Mountain West Conference, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at their institution. They are also required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and participate in at least half of their team’s varsity competitions. Exceptions were made for athletes unable to compete due to injury.
