On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Henry Perrine Baldwin High School standout Baba Varner Jr.’s current college team, the Central Washington Wildcats, lost 7-0 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Idaho Coyotes.
The game took place at Wolfe Field. This was their third matchup against the Coyotes this season.
The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1:50 p.m. at Wolfe Field against Idaho Coyotes.
Mayor Richard Bissen announced that War Memorial Complex stadium will temporarily reopen for two high school graduation ceremonies on May 17 and May 18 despite ongoing upgrades. The county urges residents to expect increased traffic around the complex during this time.
The week of Monday, Sept. 8 will see these former Maui County area high school standouts in action.
