Of the 29,993 people living in Kahului in 2020, 49.2 percent (14,748) were women and 50.8 percent (15,245) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Maui Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 959. In the 65 and over age range, there were 3,109 females and 2,210 males.
