County of Maui issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
More than 1,000 children and their families enjoyed Christmas decorations, lights and music in a drive-through event at the County Building on Saturday night and were treated with pop-up Pikachu, treat bags and Santa Claus as part of a Mele Kalikimaka from the County of Maui.
“It was great to see the smiling faces and cheerful families as they enjoyed the holiday event,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. “I want to wish everyone a Mele Kalikimaka. Please be safe and stay healthy throughout this Holiday Season.”
Also, Mahalo to Hawaiian Electric Company, Minit Medical, 100% Kama`aina, Kupale Technologies, Ka`anapali Beach Hotel and all the volunteers who made this event possible.
