The Mountain West Conference announced on Apr. 15 the University of Hawaiʻi women’s volleyball team’s schedule for its first season as a member of the league. The Rainbow Wahine will play two-match series against each of the nine other Mountain West teams in their debut year.

This development marks an important transition for Hawaiʻi, as it joins a new conference and faces familiar opponents from previous Western Athletic Conference years. The team will host New Mexico, San Jose State, UNLV, Nevada, and Air Force at home while traveling to Grand Canyon, Wyoming, UC Davis, and UTEP.

Hawaiʻi will open its Mountain West campaign by hosting New Mexico on Sept. 25 and 26 at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The team will alternate between road and home series throughout the following five weeks before concluding its home schedule with matches against Nevada (Nov. 6-7) and Air Force (Nov. 13-14). The regular season ends with an away series at UTEP before heading to Las Vegas for the Mountain West Volleyball Championship set for Nov. 24-25.

All conference matches involving Hawaiʻi will be streamed live on the new Mountain West subscription platform. Details about nonconference matchups are expected to be released later.

Robyn Ah Mow enters her tenth year as head coach with four returning starters who received All-Big West honorable mention honors last season: setter Adrianna Arquette, libero Victoria Leyva, outside hitter Cha’lei Reid, and middle blocker Mililana Sylvester. Six newcomers have joined the program for the upcoming season, including transfer pin hitters Maëli Cormier and Panna Ratkai.

Fans interested in securing tickets can place deposits through UH’s ticket page; further information about public sales dates is forthcoming.
