The MPIN program is offering half-time and full-time scholarship-funded internships for Juniors and Seniors for Fall Semester, 2023 in the offices of the Governor and Lt. Governor. All half-time internships will receive a stipend covering 6 credits of in-state tuition and 6 upper division credits in the appropriate internship class. These new offerings create opportunities for more students to intern on a two- or three-day a week schedule and still take essential classes. Full-time Washington, D.C. Congressional internships and Prosecutor and Public Defender internships will continue to require 40 hours per week in the office and commit to 12 credit hours of appropriate courses. Applications for the internships are available on STAR, using search terms: • Governor B962 • Lt. Governor B963 • Hawaii State Legislature B984 (Spring Semester Only) •District Congressional Delegation B915 (Also open to sophomores) •Hawaii Judicial Internship B977 •U.S. Congressional Internship B985. Applications for Fall, 2023 are due on STAR March 15, 2023.
