On Friday, Feb. 28, former Kamehameha High School standout Jonah Reich’s current college team, the Kansas State Wildcats, lost 8-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the LSU Tigers.
The game took place at Riders Field. This was their first matchup against the Tigers this season.
The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Riders Field against Sam Houston Bearkats.
Mayor Richard Bissen announced that War Memorial Complex stadium will temporarily reopen for two high school graduation ceremonies on May 17 and May 18 despite ongoing upgrades. The county urges residents to expect increased traffic around the complex during this time.
The week of Monday, Sept. 8 will see these former Maui County area high school standouts in action.
