The Hawai’i women’s track and field team completed the first day of a split squad weekend with several notable performances at the Battle Born Classic in Reno and the Husky Classic in Seattle.

At the Battle Born Classic, Robyn Larkan recorded a time of 7.52 seconds in the 60-meter preliminaries, narrowly missing Alyssa Mae Antolin’s school record by just 0.01 seconds. Larkan also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing as the fifth-fastest qualifier with a time of 8.42 seconds.

In field events, Samaria Vital led Hawai’i throwers by placing eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 16.70 meters (54-9.5).

Meanwhile, at the Husky Classic, the Rainbow Wahine distance medley relay team achieved the fourth-fastest time in program history, completing their race in 11:48.63. The relay team—Lucy Becker, Izzy Gorton, Harriet Greentree and Mikaella Martin—finished second at the meet and became only the sixth group from Hawai’i to run under twelve minutes for this event.

In pole vaulting events in Seattle, freshman Ava Enriquez finished fifth after clearing 3.85 meters (12-7.5), while Lindsey Koch secured sixth place with a mark of 3.70 meters (12-1.5).

Both meets continue on Saturday, with competition beginning at 8 a.m. Hawaii Time for the Battle Born Classic and at 9 a.m. Hawaii Time for the Husky Classic.
