The Hawai’i women’s track and field team is set to start its 2026 indoor season in Seattle at the UW Preview, held Friday and Saturday at the Dempsey Indoor Center. Events begin on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Hawaii Time with field and distance competitions, continuing Saturday morning at 7 a.m.

The Rainbow Wahine finished fourth at last year’s MPSF Indoor Championships. Two individual conference champions from that team, Lilian Turban in high jump and Tara Wyllie in triple jump, return for this season.

Catherine Touchette, who earned bronze in the pentathlon last year and ranks third all-time at UH in that event, will also compete again. Lucy Milliner returns after setting a school record in the indoor mile as a freshman and moving into second place in school history for the indoor 800 meters.

This year’s squad includes five athletes who currently hold school records. Isabella Kneeshaw owns records for both the indoor 400m and 600m events; Milliner holds the record for the indoor mile; Wyllie has the top mark for triple jump; and Maya Holman holds the long jump record.

Overall, returning athletes account for 36 marks within UH’s program top-10 lists. The roster has been bolstered by seven transfers from four-year colleges and eight true freshmen, totaling 15 newcomers aiming to make an immediate impact.

After this weekend’s meet, Hawai’i will compete again in Seattle at the UW Invite on January 30-31.
