The University of Hawai’i women’s water polo team will host its first-ever Green and White Scrimmage on Saturday, December 6, at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. The event, which starts at 4:30 p.m., gives fans an early look at the 2026 Rainbow Wahine squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The Rainbow Wahine are coming off a successful year as two-time defending Big West Champions and NCAA semifinalists. They finished the 2025 season with a 22-5 record and ranked fourth in the final CWPA and ACWPC polls. The team brings back 14 players from last season and adds seven newcomers to its roster.
Key returning players include Daisy Logtens and Ema Vernoux, both recognized as ACWPC All-Americans in 2025. Logtens earned her second consecutive All-American Third Team honor after recording 209 saves, a .482 save percentage, and leading the conference with a 9.10 goals-against average. She also received All-Big West First Team honors and was named Most Valuable Player of the Big West Championship.
Ema Vernoux was named to the All-American honorable mention list after her debut season, leading the team with 78 goals—the fourth-highest single-season total in program history—alongside 16 hat tricks and 98 points. Vernoux also earned recognition as Big West Freshman of the Year and secured a spot on the All-Big West First Team.
Head coach James Robinson, who was named Big West Coach of the Year following his inaugural season, aims to continue building on last year’s achievements. Under his leadership, Hawai’i swept through their conference schedule to win both regular season and tournament titles before advancing to their second straight National Collegiate Women’s Water Polo Championship semifinals.
