The University of Hawai’i men’s volleyball team, currently ranked third in the nation, will continue its homestand with a two-match non-conference series against seventh-ranked Pepperdine. The matches are scheduled for Wednesday, March 4 and Friday, March 6 at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu. Both matches will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Rainbow Warriors hold a record of 14-1 this season and enter the series on an 11-match winning streak. Their opponent, Pepperdine, has a record of 10-3 and is coming off three consecutive wins.

Wednesday’s match will be Dig Pink Night, presented by the California Hotel and Casino. The first 1,000 fans entering through Gate A will receive pink “ROOF!” rally towels as part of an initiative to support breast cancer awareness. Ticket promotions include $5 tickets for select upper-level seats and a $5 food and beverage special at Gate B while supplies last.

Friday’s match is designated as Youth Night and is sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines. Young fans are encouraged to attend wearing their team colors. After the match, there will be an autograph session with the Rainbow Warrior players at Gate B.

Hawai’i head coach Charlie Wade has never lost to Pepperdine at home, holding a perfect 13-0 record against them in Honolulu (including postseason). In overall meetings between the two teams, Pepperdine leads the series 44-37; however, Hawai’i holds a strong advantage when playing in Honolulu with a 25-15 record. The Rainbow Warriors have won their last 13 home matches against Pepperdine dating back to 2010.

Their most recent encounter was on March 3, 2023, when Hawai’i swept Pepperdine in straight sets during a two-match series in Honolulu. Since leaving the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), Hawai’i has compiled a record of 36-7 against MPSF teams since 2018.

Both matches will be broadcast on Spectrum Sports with Kanoa Leahey providing play-by-play commentary alongside analyst Chris McLachlin. Fans can also listen on ESPN Honolulu radio or follow live stats online via HawaiiAthletics.com.
