The University of Hawai’i men’s tennis team is set to begin its first road trip of the 2026 season this week. The Rainbow Warriors, currently holding a 2-3 record, will open their Big West schedule with a match against UC Riverside on Wednesday, February 11 at noon Hawaii Time at the SRC Tennis Courts in Riverside, California.

Following the conference opener, Hawai’i will travel to Phoenix, Arizona for two non-conference matches at the GCU Tennis Facility. They are scheduled to play Northern Arizona on February 14 and Grand Canyon on February 15.

In their history against UC Riverside, Hawai’i leads the series 25-7 and has won the last eleven meetings. Their most recent encounter was on April 15, 2025, when Hawai’i secured a 4-0 victory.

Against Northern Arizona, Hawai’i holds a 3-1 advantage in the series and has won the last three meetings. The teams last played each other on January 30, 2000.

Hawai’i also leads Grand Canyon in their all-time series with a record of 10-1. However, Grand Canyon won their most recent match-up on February 15, 2025.

The Rainbow Warriors come into this road stretch after a narrow 4-3 win over Portland. Mueller currently holds an undefeated singles (2-0) and doubles (2-0) record this season with Dzhenev.

Senior Azuma Visaya leads the team in singles play from the No.1 position with a record of 3-2. In their latest win over Portland, Visaya defeated Nikola Keremedchiev in straight sets (6-0, 6-3). He and his doubles partner Toa Maeda have compiled a team-best doubles record of 3-2 from court No.2; they helped secure the doubles point against Portland’s Tom Garcia and Stefan Skobelev with a decisive 6-2 win.

Additionally, Adriano Dzhenev earned a straight-set victory over Eli Noel (6-1, 6-4) during UH’s last contest against Portland while playing at No.6 singles.
