The Mountain West Conference has released updated football matchups for the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors’ 2026 season, following the recent addition of North Dakota State to the league.
Hawai’i will host North Dakota State at Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex, along with previously scheduled home games against New Mexico, San Jose State, and UNLV. The team will play away games at Nevada, Northern Illinois, UTEP, and Wyoming.
In 2026, Hawai’i is set to face all three new members of the Mountain West: Northern Illinois, North Dakota State, and UTEP. This will mark the first time Hawai’i plays against both Northern Illinois and North Dakota State. The Rainbow Warriors have a history with UTEP from their days as rivals in the Western Athletic Conference; Hawai’i leads that series 18-13. Their last meeting was in 2004.
The Rainbow Warriors’ schedule consists of six home games and six road games. Non-conference opponents include home games versus New Mexico State on September 12 and Massachusetts on November 28. They will also travel for non-conference matchups at Stanford on August 29 and Arizona State on September 19.
“The new matchups come after the addition of North Dakota State to the league earlier this month.”
